Why Autologous Exosomes Are Important?

Exosomes, unlike cells, are not activated because they are already active to enter every cell with the receptors on them.

Exosomes contain miRNA and mRNA, as well as growth factors and many other proteins important for tissue regeneration.

Richer than PRP

The main side effect of obtaining high-concentration PRP is that leukocytes also become enriched along with platelets. This can increase inflammation. On the other hand, platelets are highly prone to clumping when concentrated, which limits their movement at the injection site. Exosomes can concentrate all the biobenefits of platelets in a very small volume.

More active than PRP

It is difficult to be sure whether platelets will secrete growth factors when they are not activated. Even if they are activated, it is difficult to be sure that these growth factors will be transported to the cells. However, exosomes have receptors like cells and can easily enter target cells. Flow Cytometry Analysis

Not every vesicle is an exosome. The most accurate results are obtained by characterizing exosomes using flow cytometry.

Nearly all are platelet-derived: Over 98%: CD41, CD61, CD9

Immunophenotypic measurements were performed using Beckman Coulter DxFLEX Flow Cytometry system, and the evaluation was completed with the CytExpert DFLEX software program. (Measurements were done at the Privite Deren Laboratory.) 

 

Leukocyte-derived Exosomes: Negligible: 0.3% (CD45)

At the same time, there are almost no leukocyte-derived exosomes, which are also scarce at 0.3%.
